CONAC AT WAR WITH FAKE CERTICATES AT THE START OF THE 2024/2025 ACADEMIC YEAR
The National anti- Corruption of Cameroon, CONAC , on Tuesday, October 22, 202, launched a nationwide campaign against the use of fake certificates. The campaign targets students who resort to the fabrication of fake certificates to gain recruitment especially into the public service. Messages on the implications, in the use of fake certificates, which has become a major preoccupation in recruitments into the public service, in the country, were popularised.
Launching the campaign at the University of Yaounde 1, the Chairman of CONAC, Rev Dr Dieudonné, MASSI GAMS said students must strive for excellence and uphold integrity. He called on them to be active in the fight against corruption in the country in order to guarantee a better future. CONAC UNVEILS THE CAMEROON’S 2023 ANTI-CORRUPTION STATUS REPORT
The State of Cameroon lost over FCFA 114 billion to corruption in 2023 as the Special Criminal Court and the National Debt Recovery Agency make their first prints in the Annual Report.
The National Anti-Corruption Commission of Cameroon, CONAC, has reported the State of Cameroon lostover FCFA 114 billion to corruption in 2023. The Chairman of CONAC, Rev. Dr Dieudonné MASSI GAMS made the revelation on Thursday, September 26, 2024, in Yaounde, as he presented the Cameroon’s 2023 Anti-Corruption Status Report, in a ceremony attended by Members of Government, Heads of Diplomatic Missions, Judicial Authorities, Members of Parliament, Anti-Corruption Stakeholders and Civil Society Advocates.
The Report presents activities carried out by the National Anti-Corruption Commission as well as other control Institutions, the judiciary, government ministries, public and private institutions including local councils in the fight against corruption within the year under review.
