EVALUATION OF REGIONAL ACTION PLAN AGAINST CORRUPTION: CONAC Engages Stakeholders for a Ruthless Fight.

Officials of the National Anti-Corruption Commission, CONAC, have expressed discontent over the implementation level of Regional Action Plans, against corruption, set for the 10 regions of the country, after noticing a low performance rate and lack of commitment by some key actors.
Workshops to evaluate the execution of earmarked anti-corruption activities in the regions in 2024 have been holding in regional head quarters, under the coordination of experts from CONAC who together with regional authorities, heads of public and parapublic institutions and civil society activities. The Stakeholders have also been seeking ways to increase public engagement in the fight against corruption in the regions. It is noteworthy that the Regional Plans of Action for 2024, under review, were drawn up by the stakeholders themselves following the PrECIS Model, which requires anti-corruption actions in the domains of Prevention, Education, Condition, Incentive and Sanction. Women and the fight against corruption: CONAC takes women of Mayo Banyo to task

Caravans to raise awareness among women crisscrossed the streets of Bankim, Banyo and Mayo Darlé in celebration of the 40th International Women’s Day.
CONAC chose the 5th of March, 2025, to remind women of their ability to inject fresh impetus into the anti-corruption drive in Cameroon. The campaign was launched by the Chairman of CONAC, Rev Dr Dieudonné MASSI GAMS, and the Sub-Divisional Officer of Mayo Darlé, MOHAMMADOU OUSMANOU, at the Festivity Square in Mayo Banyo, Adamaoua Region, on 5th March, during the Women’s Week, in the presence of the Mayor of Mayo Darlé, DADDA FATIMATOU ALIOU.
Speaking to the women gathered for the event, the Chairman of CONAC said: “If educating a woman means educating an entire nation, then women’s ownership of the fight against corruption is undoubtedly one of the most effective ways of eradicating this scourge in Cameroon”.
