CONAC New Coordination Committee Members Sworn in

Newly appointed members of the Coordination Committee of the National Anti-Corruption Commission, CONAC, were on Friday, June 27, 2025, sworn in at the Supreme Court in Yaounde, by the President of the Judicial Bench of the Supreme Court, Joseph FONKWE FONGANG, in the presence of members of Government, the diplomatic Corps and family members.

The two women and five men appointed by Presidential Decree on the 19th of May, 2025, took the oath office with a promise to work relentlessly in a bid to reinforce the fight against corruption in Cameroon. Read more “CONAC New Coordination Committee Members Sworn in”

Five Arrested as CONAC’s Anti-Corruption Clinic Raided Ngaoundere

Five persons have been arrested and detained in Ngaoundere for corruption related charges following operations carried out by an Anti-corruption Clinic launched by the National Anti-corruption Commission of Cameroon, CONAC.

 The culprits were caught in flagrante delicto of corruption in services such as the Manwi weigh station, the Chabbal toll gate, the Ngaoundere Urban Council and Afriland Bank.

They have been charged with different acts of corruption such embezzlement of state funds, Impersonation, bank account fraud, favouritism and abuse of function.

Several other investigations were concluded by CONAC and the files sent to the judicial authorities in the Adamawa Region for appropriate legal sanctions. Read more “Five Arrested as CONAC’s Anti-Corruption Clinic Raided Ngaoundere”

15th Commonwealth Regional Conference of the Association of Anti-Corruption Agencies in Commonwealth Africa (AAACoA), Cape Town, South Africa, May 5 to 9, 2025.

Delegates from some 23 Anti-Corruption Agencies (ACAs), from 20 African countries, members of the Commonwealth, will next year converge on Yaounde for their annual meeting. The decision was taken on May 9, 2025, in Cape Town, South Africa at the end of the 15th Commonwealth Regional Conference of the Association of Anti-Corruption Agencies in Commonwealth Africa (AAACoA).

The Chairman of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (CONAC) of Cameroon, Rev. Dr. Dieudonné MASSI GAMS, who led CONAC’s delegation to the Conference, was elated by the choice of Cameroon to host next year’s conference. As the current Vice-Chairman of the Association South Africa is the current Chair), he promised heads of ACAs of the readiness of Cameroon to receive its august guests. 

The Cape Town Conference, jointly organised by the Commonwealth Secretariat and the Government of the Republic of South Africa, was placed under the theme “Enhancing an inclusive participation of State and non-State actors to prevent and combat corruption”. Some 200 delegates, including members of the AAACoA, senior South African Government Officials, members of the Diplomatic Corps based in Cape Town, members of relevant international organisations, as well as good governance-focused development partners attended the Conference.
