Close to 60 million Fcfa Recovered as CONAC Crackdown on Illicit Sale of Kerosene in Filling Stations

The State of Cameroon has regained 59,951,400 FCFA, following a CONAC led operation to blitz service station attendants and companies involved in the illicit sale of subsidised kerosene at filling Stations.

The Chairman of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (CONAC) , Rev. Dr. Dieudonné  MASSI GAMS, disclosed in a Press Conference in Yaounde, on Wednesday September 10, 2025, that the operation jointly carried out,  in the capital city, Yaounde, and its environs, by CONAC, the Ministry of Water  Resources and Energy, the Police and the National Gendarmerie, on the 5th and 6th of September, 2025, led to the arrest of some seven suspects who are currently facing charges, of corruption and embezzlement of public funds, after they were caught red handed selling  huge quantities of kerosene, and diesel at filling stations, to companies, contrary to the regulation enforce.
