CONAC at PROMOTE 2022
The stand of the Institution was animated with discussions as CONAC staff attended to visitors, as many came to enquire about the functioning of the Institution and drop denunciations.
The National Anti-Corruption Commission of Cameroon was at the centre of the 8th Edition of the International Business, Small and Medium Size Enterprises and Partnership Fair, dubbed Promote, organised at the Yaounde Conference Centre from February 19 to 27, 2022. The Institution took up a stand at Promote to sensitise the public on the dangers of corruption and to seek public adherence to the fight against the cankerworm. This was done through the distribution of anti-corruption gadgets such as flyers, stickers, posters, caps and T-shirts, CONAC Newsletters, the Commission’s Code of Ethics as well as the Annual Reports on the fight against corruption in Cameroon.
The stand was animated with discussions as CONAC staff attended to visitors, as many came to enquire about the functioning of the Institution and drop denunciations. This, as some other workers of the Commission took the action to other stands and pathways of the fairground to sensitise and hand over anti-corruption gadgets to members of the public and exhibitors.
The Chairman of the National Anti-Corruption Commission, Rev. Dr, Dieudonné MASSI GAMS, paid a courtesy visit at the stand to catch a glimpse of the unfolding of CONAC’s activities at the trade fair.
As the central organ in charge of the fight against corruption in the country, CONAC’s presence at the event that grouped over 800 actors in the business sector and government administrations, was highly applauded by many who saw it as a move to eradicate corruption and make the business climate in Cameroon safe for investment and economic growth.
