Five Arrested as CONAC’s Anti-Corruption Clinic Raided Ngaoundere

Five persons have been arrested and detained in Ngaoundere for corruption related charges following operations carried out by an Anti-corruption Clinic launched by the National Anti-corruption Commission of Cameroon, CONAC.
The culprits were caught in flagrante delicto of corruption in services such as the Manwi weigh station, the Chabbal toll gate, the Ngaoundere Urban Council and Afriland Bank.
They have been charged with different acts of corruption such embezzlement of state funds, Impersonation, bank account fraud, favouritism and abuse of function.
Several other investigations were concluded by CONAC and the files sent to the judicial authorities in the Adamawa Region for appropriate legal sanctions.
The CONAC Anti-Corruption Clinic that spanned from June 9 to 13, 2025, was in its 6th operation in the country as the commission Anti-graft commission, which is still to be decentralised, takes its actions closer to the public.
