Some 100 commercial motor taxi riders in Garoua, in the North Region, have pledged to join the fight against corruption as the National Anti-Corruption Commission, CONAC, continues to engage various stakeholders in the fight against corruption.

The Bikers took the engagement after staging a motorised caravan across major streets of the North Regional Capital in commemoration of the 9th edition of the African Ant-Corruption Day, observed on Friday. July 11, 2025.

Ben Ousmane Aboubaker, President of the Syndicate of Motor Taxi Riders in Garoua, assured CONAC’s Chairman Rev. Dr. Dieudonné MASSI GAMS during a ceremony that followed the caravan, of their determination to break the corruption chain by denouncing all acts of corruption to the National Anti-Corruption Commission.

In the build up to the commemoration, CONAC organised a training workshop for Heads of Anti-corruption Units in Public Services across the country.
