58th Youth Day Celebration: CONAC promotes integrity in Nanga-Eboko
A campaign to mobilise education stakeholders against corruption was organised by CONAC in Nanga Eboko, the chief town of Upper Sanaga Division as part of celebrations marking the 58th National Youth Day.
The activity targeted mainly students in secondary schools in the town of Nanga Eboko, as part of celebrations of the 58th National Youth Day. On the 6th and 7th of February 2024, CONAC created Integrity Clubs in Lycée Classique, Lycée de Nanga Eboko Rural, Lycée Technique, Collège Adventiste, ENIEG and Government Bilingual High School.
About 300 members of the Integrity Clubs created met on the 8th of February, 2024, at Lycée Classique, Nanga Eboko, for a ceremony jointly presided over by the Chairman of the National Anti-Corruption Commission, Reverend Doctor Dieudonné MASSI GAMS, and the Senior Divisional Officer of Upper Sanaga, Mr. Albert DANGA NANG, to compete on the notions of integrity and the fight against corruption.
The Chairman of CONAC seized the opportunity to remind the education community in Nanga Eboko that when integrity is not upheld in a society, all kinds of vices abound, including drug consumption, violence, cheating and corruption. The Senior Divisional Officer of Upper Sanaga, in turn, exhorted the youths in his command unit to respect the rules and institutions of the Republic, and above all, to say NO to corruption in all its forms.
