7TH ANTI-CORRUPTION CLINIC

Eighteen Suspected Corruption Criminals Dragged Into the Net
Eighteen persons have been arrested and detained in Douala after they were caught red handed indulging in acts of corruption by officials of the National Anti- Corruption Commission, of Cameroon (CONAC).
The arrests were done, with the aid of Forces of Law and Order, during an operation called ‘CONAC Anti-Corruption Clinic’’ which was organised in the nation’s economic capital from the 4th to the 8th of August, 2025. Anti-graft workers received corruption complaints from the local population, carried out investigations and devised strategies leading to the arrests. The suspects, amongst who are three ladies, will soon answer to corruption related charges, varying from extortion, forgery and use of forgery, embezzlement of public funds, bribery and abuse of power, before the Law Court.
The Anti-Corruption Clinic, which capitalises on repression, has proven to be an effective strategy used by CONAC in fighting corruption in Cameroon.
