CONAC’s INTEGRITY CAMPAIGN

Students and the Population of Nkongsamba Mobilised Against Corruption as Cameroon Celebrated the 59th Youth Day

Some Thirteen Secondary School in Nkongsamba now have Integrity Clubs following a campaign carried out in the Chief town of the Moungo Division, Littoral Region from February 5-7, 2025, by the National Anti-Corruption Commission, CONAC.

     The Chairman of the National Anti-Corruption Commission, CONAC, Rev Dr Dieudonné MASSI GAMS, has charged secondary school students in Nkongsamba to be ambassadors of integrity and active participants in the fight against corruption as they aspire to become future leaders in the country. He made the call on Friday, February 7, 2025, during a ceremony organised at the Government High School Nkonsamba as CONAC wrapped up a three-day Integrity Campaign in Secondary Schools in the chief town of the Moungo Division in the Littoral Region, in pomp and pageantry.

     The event brought together students from Secondary Schools across Nkongsamba town for an inter-school completion which was intended to inculcate in the young ones the notion of integrity and an anti-corruption mentality.

Prior to the event, notably on the 5th and 6th of February, 2025, CONAC staff visited both Public and Private Secondary Schols to ensure the creation of Integrity Clubs and their participation in the various competitions such as integrity quiz, dance and drawing, to be organised during the culminating ceremony at the Government High School Manengouba, in the presence of education and administrative authorities in the Moungo Division.

     The CONAC boss urged school authorities to ensure that the Integrity Clubs created function effectively in the various schools

     The CONAC Integrity campaign which was highly saluted by the local population, came on the hills of activities to mark Youth Day celebration and falls in line with the National Integrity Programme of CONAC as stipulated in the Cameroon’s National Strategy for the Fight Against Corruption.
