This issue reports on CONAC’s participation in the Annual Conference of Commonwealth Anti-Corruption Agencies in Africa, from May 2 to 7, 2022 in Kigali, Rwanda. The CONAC delegation was led by the Vice-Chairman of the Institution, Pr François ANOUKAHA. During the event, CONAC was elected as the representative of the Association of Anti-Corruption Agencies within the Commonwealth for the West African zone. This edition also takes stock of the assessment, in May and June 2022, of the levels of implementation of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy in the different Regions of the country.

A delegation from the High Authority for the Fight against Corruption of Congo, under the leadership of its Secretary General Michel MOMBILI AWEYAMBI, on a working visit to CONAC, on April 15 and 16, 2022. The mission was intended to learn from CONAC’s experience with a view to drawing inspiration on strategies to fight against corruption. Also in this edition, a mission to monitor and evaluate the implementation of the national policy for the promotion of official languages at CONAC, carried out on March 17, 2022, by Mr. Benjamin ITOE and Mr. MBAFOR Jean Marc AFESI, Members of the National Commission for the Promotion of Bilingualism and Multiculturalism. An African Development Bank mission also discussed with CONAC authorities on March 24, 2022, on strengthening the legal framework for the fight against corruption in Cameroon. From February 28 to March 14. CONAC also took part in Commonwealth Week, at the invitation of the Ministry of External Relations.

2021/2022 SCHOOL YEAR: CONAC Wages Anti-Corruption War in Public Schools
Government Bilingual High School Deido, Douala, played host to the launching ceremony which kick started a two-week campaign to dissuade corruption linked to registration of students, payment of PTA fees and other offences that characterize the back-to-school period.
