Ebolowa Anti-Corruption Clinic; CONAC arrests five suspects
The Anti-Corruption Clinic, a CONAC initiative to bring the public closer to the Commission by receiving reports of corruption and examining them in real time, ran from the 15th to the 19th of April, 2024.
The activity, which was basically repressive, was supervised in the South Region by the Chairman of CONAC, Reverend Doctor Dieudonné MASSI GAMS, who deployed four teams of investigators and a pool of secretaries in the Conference Room of the South Regional Delegation for Tourism and Leisure.
During the week-long operation, 54 reported cases of corruption were examined by CONAC staff deployed to Ebolowa. The CONAC investigators worked in several sub-divisions of the South Region, including Mintom, Ambam, Biwong Bulu, Mengong, Ebolowa 1 and Ebolowa 2, to verify the allegations made by victims or witnesses of those corrupt practices. The 24th edition of FENASSCO, league A. Promoting the fight against corruption at the National Finals
At the National Finals held in Mokundange-Limbe, from the 2nd to the 9th of April 2024, CONAC organised an awareness-raising campaign on integrity and the fight against corruption. The CONAC team distributed awareness-raising flyers, messages on how to report corrupt practices, and copies of CONAC Newsletter to all stakeholders of the games, to inform them on the daily activities of the institution.
The campaign targeted a large section of Cameroon’s population, representing the country’s ten regions, with some 2,000 athletes, as well as about one hundred officials and administrative supervisors. MINPROFF and CONAC join forces to fight corruption
On the 4th of March, 2024, the two Institutions committed, in a partnership agreement, to work together in fighting corruption.
This Partnership Agreement, signed by Professor ABENA ONDOA née OBAMA Marie Thérèse, Minister of Women’s Empowerment and the Family, and Rev Doctor Dieudonné MASSI GAMS, Chairman of the National Anti-Corruption Commission, commits both Institutions in working together to improve the contributions of women and the family in the anti-corruption drive in Cameroon. This involves training, mobilizing and promoting Women’s and Family Associations to integrate an “anti-corruption component” in their activities. 58th Youth Day Celebration: CONAC promotes integrity in Nanga-Eboko

Intensification of the Fight Against Corruption in 2024
The announcement was made by the Head of State, His Excellency Paul BIYA, during his address to the nation on December 31, 2023.
While presenting the balance sheet of the year 2023 and perspectives for 2024, the Head of State, His Excellency Paul BIYA, during his address to the nation on December 31, 2023, informed Cameroonians that:
“Actions implemented to combat corruption and misappropriation of public funds are essential for protecting public resources. They will be intensified in the coming year ».
The National Anti-Corruption Commission of Cameroon, CONAC, is pleased by this declaration of the Head of State, His Excellency Paul BIYA, and hopes for a boost in the fight against corruption in the days ahead, notably through actions such as:
- the criminalisation of illicit enrichment;
- the effective declaration of property;
- the decentralisation of the National Anti-Corruption Commission to take the institution closer to the population, the ultimate beneficiaries of efforts to fight against corruption.
CONAC Mobilises the Public through a Sensitisation Walk to Commemorate 2023 International Anti-Corruption Day
South Regional Governor, Felix NGUELE NGUELE led a sensitisation walk across the streets of Ebolowa on Saturday, December 9, 2023, to raise awareness on the dangers of corruption and pull public support to the on-going national effort to combat the cankerworm. CONAC and Parliamentary Network Against Corruption Advocate for Anti-Corruption Law
A forum which had as principal actors, institutions that carry out operational functions in the fight against corruption, notably CONAC, CONSUPE, the Ministry of Justice and ANIF, was organised on November 16, 2023 with the objective to create a point of convergence for an Anti-Corruption Law in Cameroon. Four Corruption Suspects Arrested
The Cameroon National Anti-Corruption Commission, CONAC organised its 3rd Anti-Corruption Clinic in Bertoua from the 2nd to 6th of October, 2023. CONAC Calls for a Corruption Free 2023/2024 School Year
The National Anti-Corruption Commission of Cameroon, CONAC, is currently on a campaign to ensure a corruption free back to school, as schools in the basic, and secondary education sector, including vocational training, reopen their doors for the 2023/2024 School Year.
Prior to the resumption on September 4, 2023, CONAC workers visited school campuses to monitor the registration and admission of pupils and students, to ensure that bribery, extortion, embezzlement of funds and abuse of power which are usually common during back to school period, are checked. CONAC SOWS INTEGRITY AT FENASSCO A GAMES IN GAROUA
Officials of the National Anti-Corruption Commission, CONAC, led by the Commission’s Chairman, Rev. Dr. Dieudonne MASSI GAMS, were on the touchlines of the 23rd edition of the National Finals of FENASSCO League A Games, organised in Garoua and Gashiga, from July 29th to August 5, 2023.
